The scent of the flowers of one of the Christmas bushes, Bursaria spinosa, wafts in the sea breeze. The taste of the honey in full bloom during Christmas time is exceptional.

WILD HIVES operates beekeeping in the small town of Swansea in the heart of the east coast of Tasmania. We do not wholesale to supermarkets or shops, but provide our products to Tasmania’s hotels, bakeries, cafes, and more. It might be difficult to come across our products while traveling. Swansea is about a 2.5-hour drive from Hobart. WILD HIVES ventures deep into Tasmania to practice beekeeping. Moreover, we have been granted permission to install beehives on the rooftop of the Hobart City Hall, conducting trusted and meticulous natural beekeeping.

Australia’s Tasmania Island has been designated as a zero point for environmental pollution by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), and the honey harvested only from its apiaries is 100% natural and pure. Extracted at low temperatures and minimally filtered, each bottle is meticulously packaged. It boasts high sterilization effects, regulates intestinal flora, and is highly prized for its anti-aging properties.

During the cold winter months, when the temperature drops below 15 degrees Celsius, crystallization begins. This is a natural phenomenon and does not affect the quality of honey. Crystallization is a hallmark of 100% natural honey. You can consume it without melting. If you need to melt it, open the lid and immerse the bottle halfway in lukewarm water at 40°C for 30 minutes. It will gradually melt. Please note that changes in temperature may alter the taste.
